In Loving Memory of Gregory R. Sivets
Carrollton, Ohio — 1972–2025
With a heavy heart, we share the sudden and tragic passing of Mr. Gregory R. Sivets, age 53, of Carrollton, Ohio. Gregory lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on State Route 524 on the afternoon of November 18, 2025. His death was confirmed at the scene by Carroll County Coroner Dr. Mandel B. Haas.
Gregory’s passing has left the Carrollton community reeling. Known for his quiet strength, humility, and warmth, he was a man who lived with integrity and compassion. Friends and neighbors remember him as someone always willing to lend a helping hand, whether through small acts of kindness or steadfast support during difficult times. His presence brought comfort and stability, and his absence will be deeply felt. The accident occurred when Gregory’s 2020 Ford F-150 veered left off SR 524 around 3:27 p.m., striking an embankment with enough force to flip twice before colliding with railroad tracks and coming to rest in a private driveway. Though first responders from Bergholz EMS, Fox Township Fire, and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office arrived quickly, Gregory had already passed. Investigators continue to examine the cause of the crash, which remains undetermined.
Beyond the circumstances of his death, Gregory’s life is remembered for the love he shared with his family and the impact he made on his community. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend whose humility and generosity touched countless lives. His legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and service — qualities that will continue to inspire those who knew him.As the Carrollton community reflects on Gregory’s life, heartfelt memories and support are being shared among loved ones.
