With a heavy heart, we share the passing of Mr. Leslie “Boetigates” Beukes, a cherished member of the Southern Suburbs Darts Association, whose death has brought profound sadness to his family, friends, and the wider darts community.
Leslie was more than just a player; he was a true gentleman of the game and one of its great ambassadors. His love for darts was evident in the way he carried himself both on and off the board. He embodied sportsmanship, respect, and camaraderie, qualities that made him admired not only by teammates but also by opponents. His presence enriched the Association, and his contributions will be remembered for generations to come.
Known affectionately as “Boetigates,” Leslie brought joy, laughter, and encouragement to those around him. He had a gift for making others feel welcome, and his passion for the sport inspired many to take up the game and play with pride. His legacy is not only in the matches he played but in the friendships he built and the community he strengthened.
Beyond darts, Leslie was a devoted father, family man, and friend. His passing leaves a deep void in the lives of his loved ones, especially his son, Lester Beukes, to whom we extend our deepest and most sincere condolences. We also offer heartfelt sympathy to the entire Beukes family, who now mourn the loss of a man who meant so much to so many.
As we grieve, we also celebrate the life Leslie lived. His memory will endure in the stories shared, the games played in his honor, and the spirit of unity he fostered within the Association. May Mr. Leslie “Boetigates” Beukes rest in eternal peace. His laughter, kindness, and love for the game of darts will never be forgotten.
