In Loving Memory of Carla Dawn Sendling
October 5, 1979 – November 19, 2025
With a heavy heart, we share the passing of Ms. Carla Dawn Sendling, aged 46, of Wyatt, West Virginia. Carla died on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at United Hospital Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Her strength, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and community will forever be remembered.
Born on October 5, 1979, in Fairmont, Carla was the beloved daughter of Larry Evans and Donna Halpenny Evans of Wyatt. She grew up with deep roots in her hometown, attending Lincoln High School in Shinnston, WV, where she built lifelong friendships and began shaping the caring spirit that defined her life. Carla lived in Shinnston and was in a loving relationship with Sammy Saporito, who stood by her side through life’s joys and challenges. She was the heart of her family, a devoted mother whose children were her greatest pride. Her love extended beyond her family to the many friends and neighbors who knew her as someone always willing to lend a helping hand.
Known for her gentle nature and her love for animals, Carla’s kindness left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. She had a gift for making others feel valued and supported, whether through her warm smile, her thoughtful words, or her quiet acts of generosity. Her passing is a profound loss to her family, friends, and the Shinnston community. Yet, even in grief, her loved ones celebrate the life she lived — a life defined by compassion, resilience, and devotion. Carla’s legacy will continue through the memories she created, the love she shared, and the example she set of living with grace and courage.
Our deepest condolences are extended to Carla’s parents, her children, her partner Sammy, and all who mourn her passing. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory remain a guiding light for those who loved her.
