Frances Irene Maxwell Obituary Death: Beloved Charleston Has Died

Frances Irene Maxwell

In Loving Memory of Mrs. Frances Irene Maxwell

January 23, 1952 — November 13, 2025

With a heavy heart, we share the passing of Mrs. Frances Irene Maxwell, who departed this life on November 13, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on January 23, 1952, in Charleston, West Virginia, Frances—affectionately known as Fran or Frannie—was the beloved daughter of Charles and Ruby Montgomery.

On November 3, 1973, Fran married the love of her life, Bryan Maxwell. Together, they built a marriage rooted in faith, devotion, and love. Fran worked diligently at an insurance company as she and Bryan saved for their wedding, and with her mother’s help, she lovingly sewed her own wedding dress—a symbol of her resourcefulness and heartfelt dedication.

Fran devoted most of her adult life to serving children, working as a childcare provider, preschool teacher, and after-school homework helper. Yet, her most cherished roles were those of mother and grandmother. She poured her heart into her family, finding joy in watching her grandsons—Joshua, Camden, Kasen, and Kian—grow and thrive, especially as they played sports.

Her faith in Christ was the cornerstone of her life. Fran prayed the rosary daily and looked to Mary as a biblical example of womanhood. She gave sacrificially to her family and church, embodying humility, loyalty, and compassion. A highlight of her spiritual journey was her pilgrimage to the Holy Land with her church family, an experience that deepened her devotion and brought her immense joy.

Fran also delighted in life’s simple pleasures—1950s comedies, puzzles, cooking, and the beauty of God’s creation. She found peace in flowers, rainbows, trees, animals, and sunsets, always appreciating the natural wonders around her. She will be remembered for her peaceful nature, joyful laughter, and unwavering loyalty to those she loved.

The Lord called His daughter home on November 13, 2025. Fran is survived by her husband, Bryan; her daughter, Cindi (Ben); and her grandsons, Joshua, Camden, Kasen, and Kian. She is preceded in death by her parents and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Ligouri Catholic Church, 1870 W Oak St, Zionsville, IN, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Friends are welcome to visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

RIP Mrs. Frances Irene Maxwell (1952–2025)
