With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mr. Scott Patrick Cooper, age 42, who died on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center from injuries sustained in a recent traffic accident. His death has brought profound sorrow to his family, friends, and community, who now mourn the loss of a man remembered for his kindness, adventurous spirit, and ability to bring people together.

Born on August 20, 1983, Scott was the beloved son of the late Timothy Cockerline and the late Donna (Gosson) Cooper. He grew up in Lowell and Westford, Massachusetts, where he attended local schools, including Westford Academy. From an early age, Scott displayed a big heart and a zest for life, qualities that remained with him throughout his journey. Scott loved the outdoors and found joy in simple pleasures—riding his bike, fishing, swimming, camping, and spending time surrounded by nature. He carried a positive outlook and was known for his outgoing personality. Friends and family admired his ability to ease tension and smooth over difficult situations, a gift that made him a natural peacemaker and a source of comfort to those around him.

Professionally, Scott was a skilled laborer who worked in construction throughout the greater Lowell area. He also spent time working with Home Depot in Dorchester, where his dedication and work ethic were evident. His colleagues respected him not only for his skill but also for his warmth and willingness to lend a hand.

Scott is survived by his two brothers, Steve Cooper and his wife Marilyn of Nashua, and Jason Cooper of Lowell; his niece, Madison Cooper; his aunts Kelly and Cindy, along with his cousin Renee; and many close friends, including Rob, Rick, Mike, Bill, and Jen. His family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with him, holding close the laughter, love, and light he brought into their lives.

Funeral services will take place privately, in accordance with the family’s wishes.

Scott will be lovingly remembered for his adventurous spirit, his joyful nature, and his enduring loyalty. Though his journey ended far too soon, his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him.

RIP Mr. Scott Patrick Cooper (1983–2025)
